Applied Art, as the name implies, is the application of Art & Design in various forms to evaluate mankind’s living standard. It is a problem-solving process that uses art and aesthetics to inform, educate, and remind the general public.

Applied Art is a vocational course designed to cultivate students skills to meet the needs of the advertising, visual communication, design education, and print production industries. It evolves in tandem with the altering economic, social, technological, and international environments and trends. The first two years focus on the development of Fundamentals of Art and Aesthetics sensibilities and their practical application. In subsequent years, students are introduced to a variety of specialized photography, typography, illustration, computer graphics, exhibition display, and stage decoration. Students have the option to choose one of the specialization subjects for their degree.

Lastly, the objective is to cultivate skilled, technologically savvy, and inventive minds to meet the ever-changing needs of the global community.

Admissions through MAH-AAC-CET (Maharashtra – Applied Arts & Crafts Common Entrance Test)

Eligibility

All the candidates should be passed / appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC / 12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination with English as a language subject and score minimum aggregate marks 45% (40% for reserved category).
